NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

REGARDING PROPOSED

ZONE CHANGE

 

Madison County Planning & Zoning Department

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Madison County Planning and Zoning Commission at or after the hour of 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, in the Madison County Commissioner Room, 159 East Main, Rexburg Idaho 83440, regarding a proposed zone change from Agricultural Zone to a Transitional Agriculture Zone on property owned by Marcus L. and Anne B. Stott located approximately at 6978 South 2000 West, Rexburg, Idaho on approximately 16.5 acres.  The property is further described as follows:

 

Beginning at the South quarter corner of Sec. 25, Township 05 North, Range 39 E, Boise Meridian, Madison County, Idaho and running then west along said section line 612 feet more or less to where it intersects with the right of way of  County Road known as  S 2000 W, thence North along said road right of way 504 feet more or less to where it intersects with the Southwest corner of a parcel of land known as RP05N39E256918, thence East 820 feet more or less to the West bank of  a fork of the Reid Canal, thence North 156 feet more or less to where it intersects with the South line of a parcel of land known as RP05N39E259022, thence East along the South line of said parcel 725 feet more or less to the East bank of the Reid Canal, thence Southwesterly along the East Bank of the Reid Canal 915 feet more or less to the intersection of the South line of said Section 25, thence West along said Section line  320 feet more or less to the point of beginning.

 

The applicants are proposing that the above parcel’s zone be changed to a Transitional Agriculture Zone per the Madison County Unified Development Code, Part II, Chapter 117 et seq.

 

At such hearing the Madison County Planning and Zoning Commission will hear all persons and all objections and recommendations relative to such proposed zone change from an Agricultural Zone to a Transitional Agriculture Zone.  Written comments will be accepted in regards to this proposal no later than Friday, December 7, 2018 at 4:30 P.
