REGARDING PROPOSED CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Madison County Planning and Zoning Commission at or after the hour of 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the Madison County Commissioner Room, located at the Madison County Courthouse, 159 East Main, Rexburg, Idaho 83440, regarding the proposed issuing of a Conditional Use Permit to approve a small used car dealership and small repair shop, located at 7700 S. 400 W. Rexburg, Idaho, 83440, located on approximately .69 acres. The applicant is Chase Wightman. The property is more particularly described as follows:

COMMENCING AT A POINT 10 RODS 3 FEET NORTH OF THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE NW4 SW4 OF SECTION 32, TOWNSHIP 5 NORTH, RANGE 40 EAST, BOISE MERIDIAN, MADISON COUNTY, IDAHO, AND RUNNING THENCE NORTH 10 RODS 9 ½ FEET; THENCE EAST 7 RODS 9 ½ FEET; THENCE SOUTH 10 RODS 9 ½ FEET, AND THENCE WEST 7 RODS 9 ½ FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

The applicant proposes they be issued a Conditional Use Permit for a small used car dealership and repair shop on this parcel, as defined in the Madison County Code Book, Part II Unified Development Code, Chapter 101 General Administrative Provision, Article V, Conditional Use Permit, and section 117-51 land use table zoning. This parcel is currently zoned Transitional Agriculture. Without the granting of a Conditional Use Permit, neither automobile sales nor an automobile service station are allowed on this parcel.
At such hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission will hear all persons and all objections or recommendations relative to such proposed issuance of a Conditional Use Permit. This notice is given pursuant to the provisions of Section 67-6509, 67-6511, Idaho Code, and all amendments thereof.
Written comment will be accepted in regards to this proposal no later than Wednesday March 4th, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. at the Madison County Planning and Zoning Office, 134 E. Main Suite 208, Rexburg, ID 83440.
The public is invited to attend, and public comment is encouraged.
